Enjoy a latte — maybe a beer — and fire up that laptop
Looking for a cozy spot to get some work done? A great discussion has been going on at the Seattle Tech Startups forum over the past couple of days on the best places to set up shop for an hour or two.
We're always on the go here at TechFlash HQ, looking to post from the field as we uncover news. That means we need reliable Wi-Fi and friendly work spaces. (After an Entellium court hearing a few weeks back, I walked a few blocks to Top Pot Doughnuts where I filed my story.)
But finding a decent place isn't always so easy. And that's where the Seattle Tech Startups chat is particularly useful. Even better was the enterprising fella who took the suggestions from the list and input them on a Google Map complete with descriptions and directions.
There are now 35 cafes, libraries and -- amazingly one dog park -- where people can go to get work done around the Seattle area.
Now, if you are between meetings or simply need to escape the office, you have a helpful guide. Check it out and add a favorite or two, that is if you don't mind sharing your secret spot with the rest of us.
